What We Believe

Core Beliefs

The following are the core beliefs of Kingdom Family San Marcos based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.

God

  • We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer.
  • We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, One being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and He will come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory. We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through faith in and confessing the precious blood of Christ. We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross together with the wounds inflicted upon His body provide healing of the human body as well as salvation for the soul.

Revelation

  • God has revealed himself to us through His son, Jesus Christ, who is the visible image of the invisible God, the Holy Scriptures, and through all of creation itself.

the word

  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God. We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament are inspired by God and that the Holy Bible, in its entirety, contains the entire doctrinal belief of our church.
  •  All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. ( 2 Tim 3:16-17)

Holy spirit

  • We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit according to the scripture Acts 2:4 is given to the believers who ask for it.The Baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire (Matthew 3:11), is a Gift from God, as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers and is received subsequent to the new birth (John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; 2:4, 38, 39; 10:44-48).

The journey

  • The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of being born again, and continuing until the glorification of salvation (Hebrews 13:12; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Peter 1:2; Ephesians 5:26; 1 Corinthians 6:11; John 17:17; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).
  • We believe that the victorious, redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy – sin, lies, sickness, and torment.‍

The Church

  • The Church is meant to be the visible body of Christ, sent into the world to glorify God and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, sharing and living the good news, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.
  • We believe in the ever-increasing government of God and in the Blessed Hope, which is the glorious, visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign with His overcoming bride – the Church.

Resurrection

  • Jesus Christ is returning one day to judge both the living and the dead and to usher in the fullness of God's Kingdom on earth.
  • We believe that heaven and hell are real places. There will be a resurrection of the lost and the saved, the one to everlasting death and the other to everlasting life.
